DB here! I just read an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal. There was a story on an imported cheese store in NYC that was concerned that the price of cheese from Europe was going to be more expensive because of a new tariff placed on the importing of cheese from the European Union. Do you want to know why? The US is/was retaliating against Europe’s refusal to import American Beef. Conventional American Beef is loaded with hormones and the Europeans do not want it. Guess who is eating eat? We are, let me qualify that; the uniformed public is; I do not eat it, I eat organic.
Do you get warm or hot in the evening after meals that have meat as a part of the dinner? If you do, and it is not uncommon it could be the chemicals in your steak or roast beef dinner. If you have tender breasts, a heavy menstrual flow, or if you are a male, and you have swelling in your prostate impairing urine flow – I would make the educated decision to go organic. The chemicals in the products you may be eating can cause an abundance of xenohormones. Organic animal tissue is the only way to go. Also, I would avoid FARM RAISED FISH. Yes you read that right. They use chemicals in fish food to color the flesh and anti-biotics to prevent the fish from getting infections. OK, so what do you do? Stop eating conventional meat, I would minimize going out to eat, where they use processed, tainted meat products. Eat at home, buy the right stuff. DB

We had a lot of fun at Channel 8. The program will be on my site very soon. Well, on Friday February 13th night we had an awesome group that was at Barnes and Noble Book Store for my book discussion. A lot of questions! One interesting query was, “Dr. Bob, how can you help fibromyalgia?” Now, you would think that would be a strange question for a book signing and workshop on SEX and ROMANCE. She apparently was having pain, I am sure the misery she was in, definitely prevented her from having an intimate relationship with her spouse.
Can I tell you- a leading cause of fibromyalgia pain would include; sugar stressing the adrenal glands, to much citrus creating an alkaline pH, lack of Vitamin D creating bone tissue pain and even lack of iodine.
Iodine is needed for thyroid function; the thyroid and para-thyroid are involved in calcium movement. We had another person comment who has a low thyroid; she wanted to know if swimming could affect her thyroid? Swimming can lower the iodine in ones body because of chemicals in the water – bromine, fluorine and chlorine.
Deb and I spoke at our church on Sunday, the audience was very receptive on the message of Sex and Romance, much to our surprise we sold several ADHD books!! We had much discussion on adult ADHD. When one has ADHD as a child, it is does not generally go away as an adult unless there is a change. One such person was shocked to learn that dairy may be a factor in ADHD. I explained that an abundance of dairy sabotages the formation of a fat in the brain called DHA. I would encourage you to go to back to www.druglessdoctor.com, and watch the video on ADHD. ADHD translates into depression as time goes on. Depression and those taking anti-depressants have challenges with the emotions and physical aspects of sexual intimacy. DB here!! I am going to be talking about Detoxification on Monday night January 19th, 2009, 9pm at my next Tele Workshop. It would be awesome for you to be there. I know you will learn a lot of little nuggets that can make a difference in your over-all health.
An area that is very common and I am asked about often includes hemorrhoids. Do you know what one of the main causes of hemorrhoids is; a congested or plugged up liver. You see, there is a back up of pressure that occurs when you may have been eating ice cream, cookies, snack foods, medications and alcohol. Other common body signals include spider veins, varicose veins and cherry hemangiomas, which are little red bumps on the skin. This is very serious. I have discovered over time that the liver is the key organ for the prevention of cancer and even heart disease. Now, there are many organs associated with toxicity; but, the liver is one of the main keys.
Eat Dr. Bob’s ABC’s every day. If you suffer with chronic hemorrhoids I would suggest you may want to fill out a Maestro Symptom Survey form, and make a note for my assistant Rachel in the comments regarding your ailment. We use a product called Collosonia Root® from Standard Process with great success. Also, milk thistle and dandelion root are also critical for long term liver health. DB here!! Aren’t you glad you are learning about looking younger? It will take up to three consistent months to see changes. OK, yesterday I mentioned collagen. Collagen is the glue that holds cells together. Your body would do much better if it had the ingredients to create baby face smooth skin. I would suggest you eat, are you ready; one high Omega 3 organic egg everyday, or at least five times a week. Do you know that eggs, onion and garlic are great sources of sulfur? Sulfur is needed to make strong collagen tissue, along with vitamin C. Do you know that honey is a great source of proline, which is an amino acid that is used to make collagen? I am not suggesting you use honey, but I know there are many honey products being marketed right now. Some are very good. I also see patients with a lot of sugar issues that are precipitated by honey. That was just an FYI…. I personally take one ounce of a bovine sourced liquid protein product every day. I believe this product stopped the gray from coming out on the top of my head, and it has stopped my hair from falling out. I am serious. If you had your tonsils removed you lost one of your store houses of sulfur. Sulfur as I mentioned can be consumed easily…..
I just received a few emails about Iodine, I wanted to put the response for you to read. Iodine is very important, and because of it’s role with calcium may be a part of the whole Vitamin D issue. I am searching more information to learn about Vitamin D. Read this email response from me to someone, I wrote, “From what I am seeing in my practice, and knowing that bromine, fluorine and chlorine are at toxic levels, I can confidently say you should think about it (Iodine). I rarely see patients who have normal thyroid values and have had not assessed one person with a urine iodine level that was within thirty percent of normal. This is just as serious as Vitamin D and I believe because of the calcium connection this can be connected physiologically.” DB
DB here!! OK, you read the earlier nugget and started drinking more water; right? I would not drink distilled water myself. It tends to deplete the body of critically needed minerals. You need minerals to assist the flax oil in making prostaglandin number three which takes away inflammation. I suggest you use Celtic Sea Salt® liberally (replace your conventional table salt). Vitamin C is very important for the creation of collagen. As you know or know now collagen is important for skin health.
I have found a source of vitamin C that will not cause cold sores or fibromyalgia: Are you ready for this? Red, yellow and orange bell peppers. Eat at least one half of one a red, yellow or orange bell pepper each day. Cut one up and put it in a sealed container along with your half of an apple, and four or five baby carrots. Do you want to know a little known nugget? Of course you do! If you get indigestion with green bell peppers it may be that your gall bladder/liver mechanics are off. If this is the case you should be eating a half of an apple every day, or get some milk thistle or dandelion root from our web site (www.druglessdoctor.com). Those two items help the liver gall bladder flow. Now, this is really important: your skin needs collagen. Everyone I talk to these days wants to look and stay younger looking. Do you know that you can slow the aging process down? There are a lot of mis-conceptions on why your skin starts to sag, wrinkle and look drawn and pasty looking. Beauty begins within. Let me share some time tested secrets to look and feel younger. First and the easiest is to hydrate your body. Your cells including your skin are in a constant state of repair. Dead cells to need be eliminated from the scene. Water assists the body in the transportation of cells to be removed. Water is water, not soda, tea, coffee or alcohol. Add a wedge of lemon to your water, drink the water and eat the lemon. Many patients that come into the office have never heard of or realize that flax oil is critical for health. I strongly encourage one tablespoon of quality high lignan flax oil a day per one hundred pounds of body weight. Flax oil reduces inflammation. Flax oil also is a precursor for building blocks for the thyroid and adrenal gland hormones. Dry skin is best eliminated by adding calcium lactate to your daily supplementation program. We use Calcium Lactate from Standard Process, it is easily assimilated. Flax oil transports calcium to skin, lack of flax oil can create thick looking skin. Carrots are a great source of vitamin A precursors. I would eat four or five every day. I also would eat at least one-fourth of an avocado every day. I know that many of you right now are concerned about how you are going to react your aging profile. Let me give you a few tips that I have noticed to help my patients. I would, and I am being serious about this, EAT your apples, beets and carrots. I won’t talk about apples and beets today. I want to discuss carrots. Carrots, are loaded with minerals and vitamins, there are more than 200 nutrients in carrots. I would eat them raw, steamed or sauteed. I eat them every day. Carrots are loaded with Vitamin A, it is critical for skin health. OK, here is another nugget is water. Water will hydrate the skin. Skin takes a beating in the winter time up here in the North. When the air is dry like some of you have in Arizona, drink more water. I would use Celtic Sea Salt liberally, is it a great source of minerals. You want to eliminate inflammation. Wait till you read this — protein and sugar create wrinkles on your skin. There is a surgeon in Cleveland will not do facials on women who eat yogurt. I would not eat ice cream if you want your face to be smooth. You could put an avocado mask on your face. Here is a secret weapon for you, smash one fourth of an avocado and break open an Alpha Lipoic Acid capsule and mix them together. Apply the mixture to your face for a half hour or so, your skin will love it. Eggs, onion and garlic are a great source of sulfur, which is important for skin health. Iodine is a secret weapon.
